Roofing for New Homes, Additions and Builders
A new roof on a new structure is the best chance to get every detail right: the underlayment, flashing at walls and valleys, drip edge and attic ventilation all go in on a clean deck. We work with homeowners building their own projects, and with builders and general contractors who need a dependable roofing crew.
- New homes and custom builds
- Room additions, garages and outbuildings
- Porch and patio covers tied into an existing roof
- Builder and general contractor projects
What a New Construction Roof Includes
- Underlayment over the roof deck
- Flashing at walls, chimneys, valleys and penetrations
- Drip edge at eaves and rakes
- Shingles installed to the manufacturer’s instructions
- Balanced attic ventilation, with intake at the eaves and exhaust at or near the ridge
- Cleanup and haul-away of roofing debris
Good attic ventilation is part of the roof system, not an add-on. Learn more on our attic ventilation page.
How We Work With Your Build
- Review the plans. We look at the roof plan, pitch, materials and any requirements from your builder, HOA or inspector.
- Agree the scope in writing. You get a free written estimate with the scope, materials, price and expected schedule before work begins.
- Coordinate the schedule. We fit the roof into the build so the structure is dried in and the next trades can keep moving.
- Install and clean up. We install the roof system, check the details and haul away debris.
Workmanship You Can Count On
We stand behind our work with a standard 2-year workmanship warranty on roofing and a 1-year workmanship warranty on most other services, unless otherwise specified in your written agreement. Applicable manufacturer warranties are separate.
Also Repairing and Replacing Existing Roofs
Most of our roofing work is on existing homes. If your current roof needs attention, see roof repair, roof replacement and roof inspection.
